Both are of origine inconnu or no place of origine is known. Pierre came in with the Carignan Regiment and was on of those who stayed. The marriage act at church is not known, nor is the marriage contract the couple should have made. Nevertheles the couple gave 13 children to New France.
This dictionary is based on Montreal University PRDH program and was published 10 years ago. I would be very doubtfull of any answer unless the original document was mentioned. This PRDH was a compilation (data bank) of all church records up to 1799. Also census and any other information of certain source.
There is a program under way to link back to France the origins as far as possible. Beauregard's site has it on internet but unfortunately it is presently unavailable.
