Need Help Locating John W.Benson

Looking for relatives of John Walter Benson,rumored to from Texas and associated with a ranch called Number 1 ranch.I'm told that he joined the merchant marines early 1900's.He later moved to Va. and married Lillian Virginia Powell,had eight children.I was told that he died in 1957 or 1958.Please if anyone can help pleasecontact.
