Here is some additional information on the Benthalls and Bonds
Deed of Gift - March 13, 1798 - Laban Benthall to his children, Thomas, Rhoda,Enos and Mary Benthall, all his personal property consisting of a mare, bridle, saddle, cow and calf, 2 feather beds and furniture,9 heads of hogs, 1 women's riding saddle, iron pot, 1 duck oven, 1pan, 2 spinning wheels, 1 pair cards, 1 basin, 9 pewter plates,
9 spoons; also gives after his death and death of his wife, Mary Benthall, land where he now lives granted to him by deed from William Benthall, 150 acres, to be equally dived among his children. Witt: James Cryer.
Sumner County, Tennessee Deeds:
Indenture - December 21, 1809 - Alexander Carter and his wife Rhoda Carter formerly Benthall, to Redman Dillon Barry, $250,
for interest in tract on the main middle fork of Station Camp Creek which land the deceased Leban Benthall did possess, being 200 acres, and which deceased Leban Benthall gave to his 4 children Willis Benthall, Rhoda Benthall, Enos Benthall and Mary Benthall,1/4 of which said Alexander and Rhoda now sell. Wit: Abner K.Schiefer, John Allen.
Rhoda's acknowledgment taken by J. Cryer, J.P.Wit: Abraham K. Sharpe and John Allen.
Indenture - May 28, 1816 - Robert Bond and his wife Polly Bond,formerly Polly Benthall, to Redman Dillon Barry, $530, 50 acres on the main middle tract of Station Camp Creek, being in the tract Laban Benthall died possessed of and which was deeded by Laban after the death of his wife Molly Benthall to his 4 children: Willis Benthall, Rhoda Benthall, Enos Benthall and Mary Benthall. The tract hereby conveyed is the part of Mary and husband Robert
Bond. Wit: Thomas Anderson, Daniel Latimer.
