Does anyone know about the family who appears on the Marshall County, AL, 1870 census (Subdivision No. 45, Guntersville PO, p. 179, enumerated on July 29,1870 by Arthur C. Beard--lines 14-17)

565/565 Benton, Jeremiah 64 M W Farmer 400 200 b. NC
Benton, Eliza 48 F W Keeps house b. GA
King, Silas H. 19 M W Farm Laborer b. GA
King, Eliza L. 17 F W b. GA

I'm still searching for the parents of my gg grandmother, Mary Martha Benton, b. 9 March 1829 (tombstone) in North Carolina.Family tradition is that her father's name was Thomas. My great grandfather was Thomas Jefferson Benton, b. 10 March 1858 in GA.His father's name (according to records found in NARA) was Jabe Harmon, who died before his marriage to Mary M. was consummated. The earliest census record I have found for Thomas is on the 1870 census where he was living with a McCullah family and working as a farmhand in Calhoun County, AL.I have not yet found Mary Martha on the 1870 census.Thomas and Mary M. Benton homesteaded land in Etowah County, AL, and Thomas married Eliza E. McLeod on 16 April 1881 in Marshall County, AL.The family moved to Texas in 1900.Any leads would be greatly appreciated!
