Re: GRAYSON COUNTY/FANNIN COUNTY TX BENTONS

James I am not sure that yours and Marys JOHN BENTON are the same though there are many of the same names for children only different dates and places. My JOHN BENTON was in Seminole County OK while ya'lls were in TX still it does seem like they may have been cousins. Now to find who his parents/siblings were. ON the 1880 Van Alstyne Grayson County Census page 259C it shows: A. C. BENTON as father to the following: E. C. 19: CORA J. 12; MINNIE 10; CHARLIE 7; JOHNNIE 5 ?? (could he be mine ) not right age but....: it is the right county only it also shows they were all born in MO but my JOHN BENTON was suppose to have been born in Denison Grayson Co. TX does anyone connect to these BENTONS or know what the A. C. stands for? thank you laveta
