I'm a Minnesotan Berthiaum from the other side of the River (The St. Paul Area).I am Just starting my geogolical search. My Grandpa Berthiaume told me that he thought that all the MN Berthiaumes were related. The story that he passed down to me was that his father's (Alfred) grand father immigrated to MN from Canada with his Brother. The 2 brothers had a big fight & never spoke again. All the Berthiaumes on the Mpls. (West of the Mississippi) were suposed to be related to the other Brother. I haven't found either Brother's Name yet however.
Alfred was the Youngest son of Charles & Elizabeth Berthiaume. my grandfather thought that they had 11 or 12 children.
