We had a family reunion this weekend in Atlanta and I learned that my grandfather, Robin Bess, was from North Carolina but I'm not sure which city.His mother's name was Rachel, who was a slave on the Bess Plantation.As I understand it, he also had a brother, Dudley, and 3 sisters whose names I don't yet know. Robin, Dudley and a sister settled in Georgia and the other two sisters in various parts of Florida.

Perhaps we have a connection that I'd be most interested in exploring.I look forward to hearing from you.
