Re: Henry Bess in Tennessee

My Finis Bess was born in DeKalb County, Tennessee around 1830.He eventually came to Illinois, do you think there is a possiblity there is a connection.I find a William living with him in Union County Illinois in the 1880 census.William is aged 20, possibley a grand son to Finis, great grandson to your Henry.I haven't been able to find Finis' parents in Tennessee.But according to civil war records, he was born in DeKalb County Tennessee.He might also be Samuel Finis, he also went by Frank.Write for more information, I will share all I have.Katy
