My Bessette ancestor is Marie Anne (maried Claude Fournier June 30, 1772 in Chambly). I can answer this query of yours. I have accessed the records at the University of Montréal's genealogy section and it lists that Marie Josephe Bessette married Jean Baptiste Anderson on 28 October, 1782 in Chambly. This is where your date comes from. She may have been born around 1764.
