william John Best 1874 Dorset, emigration?

I'm looking for any information that might lead me to William John Best last heard of in the 1891 census for Warminster Wilts, aged 17 living with family. All we know is that he emigrated, not sure where, his son, or possibly grandson, name unknown was stationed in England during the war.
