Mark Bethell Lifely
I am searching for the mother of Mark Bethell Lifely. Mark was apprenticed as a cordwainer at about age 14 during the year 1693 or 1694 in Burford, Oxfordshire, England. His father was Andrew Lifely.
The implication is that Mark's mother's maiden name was Bethell.Mark came to Virginia in 1717 and married, naming his first born son Bethel. There is a huge history supporting Mark under the surname Lively (see www.livelyroots.com).Yet, we know little about his parents.
A frequently reoccuring legend about Mark is that he is a descendant of Edward Lively, an individual appointed by King James I, among others, to translate the Hebrew bible to an English version.Today that is known as the King James Bible.
Any help on any of this would be greatly appreciated.
