No doubt Alford Bettis named after his grandmother Lucy Alford.
Many of the grand-daughters of Lucy Alford Bettis were named after her.
Other than Wilson Co. Tennessee, there are no proven records that support Alford as son of anyone other than Wyatt Bettis and Nancy of Wilson Co. Tennessee.
