My E-mail Address is: [email protected]

here is the Query I tried to Post:

I am looking for Hiram Nelson Bewley in the 1860 Pike County, IL Census.According to Hiram Nelson Bewley's Civil War Papers, he claims that three year before listing in the Civil War, that the first two years were near Kinderhook Twps, Pike County, and the 3rd year was in Tallula or Hallula, Menard County, IL. I have searched completely the micro-film for 1860 Pike County, IL.
This Is the only Bewley's that I find:
Pleasant Vale Township Page 128 line 19
224-224
George Bewleyborn abt. 1831in OHIO
Nancy""born abt. 1832
William ""born abt. 1852In OHIO
Harris""Born abt. 1855In OHIO
Melinda ""Born abt. 1858in IL
Hiram H.""Born abt. 1860in IL
Kinderhook Township Page 15 line 11
88 88
William Bailyage 30 Male Farmer born in OHIO
Mary Jane" "age 15 Female House work Born in IL
Nelson BewlyAge 13 Male Farm Work Born in OHIO

Now the Hiram H. and Nelson Bewley are just too YOUNG.

My Hiram Nelson Bewley was born in December 01, 1831 in Miami County, Ohio.According to an Obituary, he came to IL around 1848.So, it's possible that these Bewleys or related to my Hiram Nelson Bewley.George Bewley could be a brother, but no proof yet.He also could be a cousin. Now, According to my Hiram Nelson Bewley's Civil War Papers he also had a younger sister names Julia.

If anyone has a clue or could look over the census for me again, maybe I missed something. Two Townships I could not find on my the microfilm I was looking at in Pike County, were Levee, and Cincinnatti Township. These were fairly close to Kinderhook.Maybe thats where my Hiram is along with his sister.Adam County, had some township that boardered next to Kinderhook, Pike county,IL . Maybe he is there.Anyway, I am confused.

Thank you for your help,
Sincerely,
Cathi Gross
