Thank you for responding to my inquiry. Specifically I am looking for information concerning "my" branch of the Bewley family. I have the following:

Joseph Bewley was born about 1787, I believe in St Bees, Cumberland, England. He marreid Jane ??, who was born about 1801 in Crosscannonby, Cumberland, England.

They had the following children:

1. Jane, born about 1833 in Arlecdon, who married Joseph Fisher on July 11, 1854, also in Arlecdon.

2. Mary Bewley born about 1829.

3. Joseph Bewley, born abt 1831 in Arlecdon, married Margaret ?? about 1861, and died about 1881.

4. Elizabeth Bewley, born abt 1838.

5. John Bewley, born about 1840.

6. William Bewley, born abt 1842.

7. Ann Bewley, born abt 1846.

8. Hannah Bewley, born abt 1834.

I am an offspring from Jane Bewley and Joseph Fisher, and I have much more specific information concerning their children who were born in Arlecdon and Frizington.

I found the Book of Bewley on the internet, and obtained a microfilm copy through the Mormon Church (I am not a member, but really appreciate their service). Unfortunately, it is VERY difficult to read (impossible in places). I noted what I think were notations to NICHOL in some of the family trees, but was unable to find further references. It appears that the Nichol family appears in Arlecdon about the time the Bewley family does, but so far I have been unable to find where either family came from. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.
