Bewleys of Johnson City, TN

I am seeking any information on the family of William Carter Bewley, b. July 16, 1820 in TN, d. May 06, 1868 Anderson SC, buried in Old Silverbrook Cemetery, Anderson, SC.He was a Civil War vet, married Catherine Douglas Hale. They came to Anderson from Johnson City, Tennessee, and owned a general store business with a Mr. Brown who, according to Catherine, stole money from the till when William was doing his Confederate duty.His grandaughter, Lydia Bewley, remembered that he was a CSA officer, a lawyer, and during the war of Yankee aggression rode into Anderson for salt for his troops. He died just after the war, of malnutrition.

William and Catherine had a daughter named Luta Bewley who married Charles Starke Sullivan in Anderson SC.Any information would be useful.
