John Buley Annapolis Nova Scotia

I am looking for any information on John Reinhart Buley. He first shows up in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia when he marries
Elizabeth Pineo. They had three children, John Buley, Freidrick and Elizabeth. His name was also spelled Bulleye and Bulleye. After his death his wife started spelling the surname Pulley. We cannot find out anything about this person, where he came from or who his parents may have been. The family always believed they were of German descent but he is not on any of the German ships to Canada. We believe he may have come from the New England states. Any info would be so appreciated.
