William,
I have checked your ancestor's name on The Bewleys of cumberland pedigrees .
On pedigree C there was a William Bewley of Carlisle baptised4 sep 1822d 18 Feb 1878 who married Sarah Gardner 14 sep 1848.
They had 7 children
named Isabella, John, Robert, Sarah Ann, Esther (died aged 1), another Esther b 19 mar 1859 , William , samuel and Sarah.
I guess there is a chance that your esther is related to this branch of the tree, particularly as they hailed from carlisle
