Maria Bianco born MONTE CASSINO, Italy 1880's
I have some wonderful information of a lady called Maria Rosa Esmerelda Bianco.
Please be rather liberal with the name spelling, as it did change on different documents over the years.
She married Michealangelo D'Ponio (deponio) in the Roman Catholic Church in Chester, Cheshire in 1906. She was born in Monte Cassino, and was a "foundling" so we dotn know her exact date. This information might even had been news to her, as she needed her birth certificate to get married, and she recieved info that she was found by members of the community, and taken to city hall in Monte Cassino, southern Italy and named by the court. She was then given to a farmer in the locality to be brought up. One of the witnesses was an Antonio D'Apolonio and this has a very large resemblance to the name D'Ponio so could possibly be that this witness was related to us aswell. we will probably never know.
anyway, Maria Bianco came to England very young and stayed with a family we think were called De Rubies, but the writing is bad.
After a few years of marriage to Michealangelo, they changed their surname to Marco, but 2 years later it was back to Deponio.
It is a very intriguing famiy, and anyone related to it, please do contact me. The family places were Chester, Rhyl, Cardiff, Swansea, Oswestry and Birkinhead amongst Others, and the names involved are
Marco/ de Marco
contact me if you think you can help, or want more information and copies of the archaic Italian documents I have on this family.
