Obit: Doris E. (Bigelow) Adams, b.1912 Augusta, ME

AUGUSTA -- Doris E. Adams, age 92, of Gray Birch Drive and formerly of Allen Street, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care at Gray Birch following a long illness.

She was born in Augusta on Aug. 21, 1912, a daughter of the late Minard P. and Blanche (Wood) Bigelow.

Mrs. Adams was a homemaker for most of her life and was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Augusta.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Adams in 1990.

Mrs. Adams is survived by a brother-in-law, Paul Adams and his wife, Mildred of Manchester, and a sister-in-law, Annie Griffith of Augusta.

Visiting hours are 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, where a 2 p.m. funeral service will be held. Burial will be in the spring in Riverside Cemetery, Augusta.
