The emigration pattern is of interest to me. I admit my lack of research on areas in Quebec, but here is the family line that I have, following the same pattern as yours. I am wondering the reason for the emigration, and how many relatives followed it.

Cornelius Bigelow (Paul,Cornelius,Samuel,Samuel,John,Randall Bigelow/Bagley) b, 20 May 1772, Lipton, MA, m. Persis Harris ca. 1792, d. 29 Aug 1861, Grand Ledge, Eaton Co., MI. (notes for Cornelius: res VT,Que,NY,MI)
children:
Edward (1820-1970)
John
Mary Lucinda
Polly
Hiram
Adam Chester
Cornelius
Ebenezer
George
William Winants
Louisa
Charles Nelson

Edward (Cornelius,Paul,Cornelius, etc.)
b. 1820 Chatham, Argenteuil, Quebec
d. 22 May 1870 Ashford, Cattaraugus co., NY
He married Mary Wilder, whose siblings were all born Stanstead, Quebec (if my research is correct).

children of Edward and Mary:
Charles Bigelow b.1855; m. Forence A. Irons
Addison b. 1857
Nellie b. 1860
Mary b. 1869
1860 census from Yorkshire, Catt. co., NY lists Edward as 38, m, shoemaker, b. Canada - wife Polly 25, b. Canada, sone Charles 5, born Canada; son "Alouro" 3, b. Canada.

Most of the Bigelows in my research seem to be afflicted by "wanderlust", making research difficult. I would love to find out more about the move to Canada.
