Daniel, a William Henry Bigelow of Eagle WI. was one of my great grandfathers. He was in the Civil War and later moved to northwest IA. He died there in 1911.Supposedly was a great horse trader.I wonder, does that have any hidden meaning?I have heard other rumors about Bigelows and horses from WI.
And another question, is the greater majority of the Bigelows all from one line, or do different, completley unrelated lines share the same surname?Like my Rices, there are over a dozen separate, unrelated lines of Rices in this country.
Also, any Bigelows into the DNA testing? That would tell the story about any different lines. It sure separated my Rice/Royce lines out into their respective different families!Best thing I ever did in genealogy!
