Re: Meaning of Billings

I was interested to see you mention the surname Bellinge. One of my great-grandfathers was a Bellinge. The name seems to have died out in England and I wondered if you knew if any Billings had a personal preference for calling themselves Billings instead of perhaps their Bellinge ancestors? There are Bellinge listed in the Danish telephone directory and I think Bellinge is a part of Northampton.
