Re: Meaning of Billings

I researched the name in the Duke University library a number years ago. It first appeared in the late 1300 early 1400's in England. The research book indicated it came from the Saxon name Bilungs or Belungs. I believe that Billings, Montana was named for a gentleman named Billings who was one of the first settlers.
