Pony Birchfield Family/Grills Harney/Edmund Tilley
I originally posted this message to as a follow-up To Linda Stanton but it was a really old message. If anyone has in information on this subject, would greatly appreciate it.
My g-grandfather was found by your g-grandfather John Birchfield when he was 5 years old.He was all alone and it has been presumed that his father had died.My g-grandfathers name was Edmund Tilley. His father took him and his 4 siblings to visit the Skaggs family in Reynolds, MO and one day skipped out with my grandfather and left all the other children there. It has been relayed to me that he joined up with a wagon train. My g-grandfather told Mr. Birchfield that his name was Edmund Silas Tilley.Anyway, the birchfield family raised my g-grandfather.My father told me that Edmund had a adopted brother by the name of Pony Birchfield.Edmund wasn't reunited with his brothers and sisters until he was grown and married.I guess he had some property for sale (i think in Oklahoma) and listed it in some type of paper. One of his real brothers happened to read it and contacted him.Anyway, I would appreciate if you have ever heard anything about this story if you could send me some info.Edmund was born in 1958 in Marcopiun County, Illinois. Thanks a-bunch.
