Willam David Black b:c1750-1790's in Tenn. Sons as I know it: John Haywood Black b:1814 Thomas b:? Family left Tenn during the Forced Indian Removal in 1837-1838. John Haywood Black stayed in Maury Co, Tenn and Married Emeline Stubbins. Rest of family and William David Black went on into Okla with the tribe(cherokee) to the reservation.John Haywood Black and Emeline went on to move to Mo. Where he lived as a white man. Indians weren't treated well, back then. Couldn't own land or anything. So passing as a white man he purchased land and stock. According to a cousin, William David Black and John Haywood Black both signed the Indian Rolls in Tenn. Thier names were suppose to be one right under the other on the rolls in Talequah,Okla. They had to of signed them in Tenn, because John Haywood Black was never in Okla. The children of John Haywood and Emeline are as follows: Nancy E.,Lucinda Angaline, John Thomas, Martha Jane, William David(Bill),Samuel G,Edmond James, Emily A.,Beatrice A,Joseph Stubbins. If any of these names sound like they connect ,let me know. If you have ran across any, please let me know where I can find it. Plan on making a trip to Talequah,Okla in very near future. Checking out the family lore. Thanks alot.
