I have two questions for you:
1)Have you ever been able to discover the ancestors of John Black?
2)Is John Black in any way related to Captain Joseph Black (c 1770-1864) of Black’s Fort on the frontier in Virginia, who fought in the battle of King’s Mountain during the Revolutionary War and in the War of 1812?(It seems reasonable to expect that they must be related, since Senia Blakemore’s parents were both from frontier families whose members fought in those wars.)
