My records show that your Mary Lucinda (Lucy) Black (b. 26 August 1889 in Missouri and d. 15 March 1962 in Los Angeles County, California and is believed to be buried in Grand Island, Nebraska) was the daughter of Robert A. Black II (b. 22 November 1846 in Reynolds County, Missouri and d. unknown date in Oklahoma and is buried in the Custer City, Oklahoma cemetery) and Samatha Jane Clark (b. 8 June 1847 and married Robert Black II on 24 November 1866 in Barry County, Missouri).Mary Lucinda Black had the following siblings, i.e., John, Martha E., George, Samuel, Robert A. III, Zettie D., William, and James Oliver. All the siblings were likely born in or near Barry County, Missouri. It is know that Zettie C. Black was never married.Robert A. Black II was the son of Robert Black (b. ~1817 in Virginia and d. 25 December 1876 in Newton County, Missouri and is buried in Boyd Cemeter near the town of Diamond, Missouri) and Susanna (Susan) Shaw (b. 1824 in Kentucky and d. 27 Novenber 1906 in Newton County, Missouri and married Robert Black on 22 May 1837 in Clark County, Illinois). This Robert Black was likely born in Virgina and moved to Tennessee to Indiana to Illinois to Schuyler County, Missouri by 1840 and then migrated to Reynolds County where many of his children were raised including his son Robert A. Black II.He finally relocated to Barry County, Missouri in his later years.Your Mary Lucinda Black is shown on her children's birth certificates to be Lucy Mary Lute and on her marriage certificate to be Lucy Black.Mary Lucinda Black of course married John Wesley Thomas Lute (b. 16 May 1889 in Nebraska and d. in May 1929 in Nebraska) the son of Granville Debou Lute and Elmira Belinda Lincoln.Mary Lucinda and John Wesley Lute had the following children, i.e., Clarissa, Wesley Leroy, Lewis, Granville A., Robert Debou, John Francis and Homer Theodore. It is also known that Mary Lucinda and her sister Zettie resided for a number of years in the Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska area. The parents of Robert Black (b. ~1817) has not to my knowledge been established except that they likely also came from Virginia and there are some records that suggest that this Robert's wife was a Cherokee Indian.Afraid that this is about all I have on your Black Family lineage and hope it helps some.
