I have a little information on your James H. Black and family. There appears to be some minor differences between the 1870 census and the 1880 census in terms of James's age.James H. Black was a farmer born in 1834 in North Carolina as were his parents. He apparently married Sarah A. Hanor Black about 1856 in North Carolina and in 1880 was living in Golden Valley, Rutherford County, North Carolina with his wife Sarah and four children, i.e., John B. (b. ~1867 in North Carolina), William H. (b. ~1871 in North Carolina), James A. (b. ~1876 in North Carolina), and Ammanda C. (b. ~1878 in North Carolina).Apparently Mary L. Black had left home by this time and was likely married.James A. (Adams) Black was actually born on 7 November 1875 and died on 5 September 1962 and is buried in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Cemetery in Rutherford County and married Hettie Ellen Lovelace on 6 August 1895.In fact, most of this family was buried in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Cemetery.James Adams Black and Hettie Lovelace had four children of record, i.e., Minnie Sarajane (no data), Robert C. (b. 19 January 1898 and d. 9 March 1898), Charles William (b. 19 January 1909 and d. 9 August 1971), Emma R. (b. 10 August 1910 and d. 21 May 1971), and Irene (b. 12 April 1929 and d. 12 April 1929). Hope this helps a little and wish I had more information for you.
