I have been digging around for a number of years and have identified about 27 generations from my son back through Capt. John Blakeney, Ireland, England and the Battle of Hastings. There are still some generations miss but the following are the father to son links I have found. I have additional siblings for a number of generations but did not have a convenient way to include them here.
de Blaekenia, Norman Frenchman born between 1020 and 1045; chronicles say he was granted "considerable land" by King William the Conqueror in Norfolk County, England in honor for his service at the Battle of Hastings in 1066
Wilihelm de Blakenia, born about 1150 in Norfolk, England. He decented from the Blakenia of Normandy, who settled in the town now known as Blakeney, Norfolk, UK.
John de Blakeney, born about 1240. In 1258 charter was granted by Henry III changing the name of Snitterley in Norfolk to Blakeney in "consideration of valuable services rendered by John de Blakeney"
Simon de Blakeney, Lord of Bokenham Manor; born about 1260 in Norfolk, England. He was recorded as Lord of Bokenham Manor in 1277.
William de Blakeney, Bailiff of Norwich; born about 1295 in Norfolk, England. He was Chamberlian of Lynn from 1319 to 1320 and Bailiff from 1339 to 1355.
Nicholas de Blakeney, Bailiff of Norwich; born about 1315 in Norfolk, England. He was Bailiff of Norwich from 1364 to 1379
Nicholas de Blakeney, Bailiff of Norwich; born about 1340 in Norfolk, England. He was Bailiff from 1386 to 1392.
John Blakeney, Rector & Lord of Bodham Haxworth; born 1365 in Norfolk, England.
John Blakeney, M.P.; born about 1420 in Honingham, Norfolk, England; married Jane Townsend (d. 1503), daughter of Sir John Townsend of Rainham; he was driven from the court of Henry VI in 1451 and died about 1481 when he was "stabbed in the heart by Nicholas Harpsfield", another M.P. In 1466 "as King's servant and Clerk of the Signet he was given custody of Eltham Palace."
John Blakeney, Esq.; born about 1455 in Honingham, Norfolk, England; died 1515 in Norfolk, England; John has a memorial plate in Honingham Church. Married Elizabeth, born about 1455, in 1475.
Thomas Blakeney, Esq.; Lord of Horford Hall Manor; born about 1485 in Norfolk, England. Also Lord of Waterhouse Hall Manor and Buttorts Hall Manor.
John Blakeney; Lord of Horford Hall; born about 1529 at Sparham, Norfolk, England and Anne Giggs, born 1533 of Stewkey Hall in Felmingham, Norfolk, England; married about 1554
Launcelot Blakeney, born 1555 in Sparham, Norfolk, England; buried December 8, 1632 in Sparham, Norfolk, England and Grissel Cantrell; born about 1563 in Stanhoe, Norfolk, England; married in Stanhow 3/3/1583. Two sons, Thomas and Henry, were granted land in Ireland as the result of "service to Elizabeth I"
Thomas Blakeney; Gov. of Castle Neemund, Ireland; born 1584 in Stanhow (Norfolk) England; died 1655 at Caste Gallagh, Mount Blakeney, Galway, Ireland. Thomastown, County Kilkenny, Ireland was named after him. Married Sarah Hatton born about 1600, married 1620 and died 1640.
William "the Horseman" Blakeney, Lieutenant; born about 1625 at Mt. Blakeney, Limerick, Ireland; died Mar. 31, 1664. Granted the best part of the estate of Garrett Fitzgerald, the forfieting Irish owner. Estate included 1,140 acres including the towns of Gartnepegueny and Thomastown. In 1655 added 450 acres upon which was built the caste at Mount Blakeney. Buried April 2, 1664 Saint Peter's Church, Kilmallock, Ireland. The Norfolk Blakeney's coat of arms is displayed on his tomb.

Robert Blakeney, born 1707, Gallach, Galway, Ireland; died 11/18/1766, Gallach, Galway, Ireland; married Sarah Ormsby about 1732
John Blakeney, Captain; born 1732, Mt. Blakeney, Limerick Co., Ireland. Died 1832. Came to America about 1750. Purchased land, Aug 31, 1785 on Lynch River in Chesterfield Co., S.C. Commissioned as captain of SC militia in 1775, assigned General Francis Marion’s Brigade (The Swamp Fox); Died Aug 8, 1832; and Peggy, born 1735 in Co. Limerick, Ireland; married in Ireland.
Thomas Blakeney, born 1756 in Granville, NC; Served in the Revolution with Col. Lemuel Benton's Regiment; in 1807 he bought 670 acres in Montgomery County, TN, where he died 12/2/1822. and Harriet his 3rd wife (1st wife Mary Atkinson died after a year of marriage; 2nd wife Susanna Lowery);Harriet was "an emancipated woman of color" born about 1760 in Granville, NC and died in Montgomery, TN in 1822
