The Blaineys of Australia came from Shropshire and originated from the Blayneys of Montgomeryshire. Your William was probably a brother of John BLAYNEY (farmer of Llanfair Waterdine then Newhouse farm, Chelmarsh on the bank of the Severn; d.1840) who married Frances SPENCER and had Samuel BLAINEY.
