Hello Virginia. Thanks for your reply regarding Blendons in Westerville.I don't have the information I need at all.My line of the Blendons landed in Virginia in the 1600's, stayed a couple of generations I think, moved to Columbiana County OH for another long time, then must have moved to Franklin county OH.I have information that my gg grandfather was christened in 1818 in Columbiana county.Beyond that, there are numerous PLACES named "Blendon something" but can find no information on PEOPLE of that name. There are places in Columbiana county, a Columbus Metro Park named Blendon south of Columbiana County, and in Franklin county the township is Blendon, plus several other places, but no people!Yet the name is not one that would be pulled out of the air when people went to name places.
I am in contact with the Westerville Public library, and they don't add to the solution. They sent me a short History of Westerville, which was of no help. So, that is what I need, some tangible evidence of people type activity; marraige, death, birth, tax or property records or any public documentation. Why was it such a popular name?Incidently, that family moved westward through Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and my gg grandfather settled and died in south central Kansas. My family stayed in Missouri.
Sorry, but I have no information on Chaffin or Gray. Thank you very much for any help you can give.Don Blenden [email protected] (note that 0=zero)
