Re: Thomas Bliss m. Margaret Hulins
Here's what I have on the girls:
Ann BLISS (Cir. 1620 England - 20 Nov 1685 Saybrook, CT). Have no info on family.
Mary BLISS (Cir. 1628 Rodborough, England - 20 Jan 1712/13 Springfield, Mass) married 26 Nov 1646 Joseph PARSONS (25 Jun 1622 - Cir. 1683). They had 14 children (I don't have the names.) She was accused of witchcraft in 1656 by some neighbors in Northampton, Mass. In 1674 a formal charge was made and she was sent to Boston for trial. She was acquitted by the jury and returned home, but she and PARSONS then moved back to Springfield Cir. 1679. [Lord, I try to love my neighbors, but enough is enough! Maybe I'll love them better in Springfield.]
Hannah BLISS (Cir. 1633 England - 25 Jan 1662 Springfield, Mass) Never married.
Sarah BLISS (Cir. 1538 Mass. - 27 Sep 1705 Springfield, Mass) married 20 Jul 1659 to John SCOTT (all I have.)
Hester BLISS - Twin (Cir. 1640 Hartford, CT - 12 Jun 1683.) (All I have.)
Elizabeth BLISS - Twin (Cir. 1640 Hartford, CT - Bef. 1684) married 15 Feb 1670 to Miles MORGAN (his 2nd wife.)
I got a lot of info several years ago from a BLISS family web page ( www.usgennet.org/family/bliss/ )and from posts on this Forum. I was trying to connect to Col. William Wallace Smith BLISS (for whom Fort Bliss, Texas is named) and his wife Mary Elizabeth TAYLOR, youngest daughter of General/President Zachary TAYLOR, but alas, they had no heirs. Ditto with the Rev. Philip P. BLISS, of whose music I am a fan. I hope you find out all about your BLISS family.
