Carolyn, I was delighted to read your entry on Thomas Bloodworth. I did not know that the DAR no longer accepted Thomas Bloodworth of New Hanover Co, NC. I have been trying to prove this to many people, for many years, stating the same issues with dates. I also experienced the problem of finding the same wrong date being repeated over and over, using wrong input. I had many discussions with Travis while he was writing his book, as co-members of the same Bloodworth group. I was the only non-descendant of the Thomas of Georgia, but kept the membership to try to prove this over the years. Travis went ahead and published after he had the proof he was wrong. I am the GGG Grandaugter of hte Thomas B. Bloodworth whose wife, Sarah Griffin d. in 1802. They said that my Thomas married Tamso as a second married. This is not true, he died in Sumner Count, TN in 1818 and never went to GA. He is likley the REV WAR soldier, born in about 1755. I have vast records on the Sumner Co. Tn Bloodworth family. There are several Harriet Bloodworths that lived in Sumner County. Regina Bruner [email protected]
