Hi Diana, Yes the cemetery is within sight of the house, across a sizeable valley. When John O. chose the site he told his sons to bury him under the oak sapling there. They did and the sapling became a very large tree which stood until a storm uprooted it in the last few years.
William Blowers is indeed burried there, he was visiting in Ohio when he died. If you would like to contact me directly I can give you quite a bit of history of the time Wm. Jr. spent in Crawford County. He was a very prominent person there and has several mentions in the CC history books.
Did you know that he (Wm>) served in both the War of 1812 and the Civil War. I don't see his grave anymore, but the last I knew the American Legion was still putting a flag on his grave for Memorial Day.Jim
