Hi, I have recently identified Robert Blythe, husband of Nancy Parker to be the parents of my "Mathew Blythe" - born about 1799 in Abbeville, SC. Robert & son Mathew migrated to Habersham County, Georgia according to the 1830 census. I found on the SC Roster, page 78, that Robert served as a "horseman" in the militia, under Captain William Baskin, from 12 May 1780 - 12 jul 1783. (Captain Baskin is the next entry after Robert on the 1790 Abbeville, SC Census.) Samuel & William Blythe also served under Captain Baskin during the exact same timeframe. I am hoping you have further info on this wonderful line of Blythes. Sincerely, Addie
