The Bobee family I'm a little familiar with descends from Felix Pierre Bobee.I don't have my records with me at the moment, but he emancipated mixed-race children, who I believe are his children.The descendants were still living in Norfolk in the 1830's.I'm working on a very slow project, trying to trace a number of free black families to at least the 1850 census, so I hope to find more that I can share with you.
