Note:
In his father's will, Joseph 'Felix' Bobee was left property on Church Street in Norfolk, Virginia, where his father ran a dry goods store. If he was married before his father's death, he was to be given $900. However, Pierre died on January 10, 1829 and Felix did not marry Margaretta Hunter until February 26, 1829. If the provision was not met, the money was to be divided between his aunt, Rose Lamasurier, his uncle, Louis Bobee, and his father's freed slaves, Sophia, her daughter Marseline, and grandaughter, Emelia. Whether or not he got the money is still a question.

In 1830, Felix is listed in "Male-headed free black household units" with 6 in family and 4 slaves in the book,
