If you go to the project website at www.familytreeDNA.com/public/Bodiford and click on the button on the left that says NEWS you can see that I have offered to fully fund the test for the first male of the Bodiford surname that can prove a paper lineage to a Bodiford documented in the 1850 U.S. Federal Census.It would appear that you can probably do so and assuming that your brother's last name is Bodiford/Bodaford/Borderford or some other variant that we can agree qualifies the cost would be nothing to you as the first person who has contacted me about this.

If you click on the Request to Join Project button on the left it will take you to a screen where toward the bottom if you click "Order your test now" it will show you the prices which range between $99 to $239 plus $4 shipping if I remember correctly.Only the male tests are useful for genealogy.I am offering to fund the 67 marker male test.Please remember that any male tested should have the Bodiford surname.

Either way I will be delighted to welcome you to the Project.Let me know what you decide.
