Hi,I have read your original message several times and was curious about the information and some correlation to my own greatgrandfather, whose information is very sketchy.
His name was also Johann Adam Boerner (Borner). We know he was born around 1837 and through research know that he was from Wanfried, Hessen Germany. He married Marie Anna Sabilla Weiner sometime after 1864.However before they were married, they had their first childWilhelm Heinrich Borner, out of wedlock on 20 June 1864.Henry was born in Bremen, Germany.I have found Johann, Anna and Henry on a ships registry listed in "German's to America" in 1865 on a ship called the Nordstar. They settled in Ashton, Illinois and were married sometime before they sailed to America. She was from Ludersbach, Eschwege, a town very close to Wanfried and we know she was born in 1837 because we have a copy of Henry's birth certificate that states both the father and mother were 26 years of age. They had seven children that have descendents from their lines. They had an eight child that died as a child.I am just curious, since the deaths of your Johann Adams' 1st family came just a year before my Johann Adam and Anna Weiner had their first child in 1864 and immigrated in 1865, when Henry was only 9 months old.
My question on your message is,you stated that your Johann Adam Borner came to America in apprx 1845, but his first wife and children died in 1863 in Germany.Did he return to Germany after 1845?Also you stated that this was his first wife, do you have any information on a 2nd wife?
We have very little information on my great grandfather's family background and have had no luck in finding his birthplace or any information on brothers or sisters that can be connected, just thought I would present these questions.
