I'm not certain but you should check on Daniel Boley, Ohio twp.,Allegheny co, PA. Daniel had a son John born 1836 according to 1850 census. Daniel was a pilot on the Ohio River, he died 1852-53. In late 1880's his widow Ruth Thompson Boley was living in Pekin Ill with her son Alexander (Wm. A on census).Her son Hugh remained in PA but I don't know where John was for certain.Wm.A., owned Boley Ice & Coal in Pekin, Ill and Evansville, Ind.They are the only ones I have record of in that area. I am descended from Daniel's brother David Downer Boley.Hope this helps.
