Sebastian BOLEY, Ger to PA abt 1832/35
Sebastian BOLEY (b: abt 1801/1803, d: 14? August 1892?, Cambria Co., PA) and Agatha (Agathae, Agadore, Agnes) Strub Rimstine (b: abt 1804/07, d: 1May 1885, Cambria Co., PA) were my gg-grandparents. Per the 1850 Census, they were born in Germany, as was their oldest son. It looks like they immigrated to Cambria County between 1832 and 1835. On the 1850 census they had 5 sons:
Oliver (b: abt. 1832/33 in Germany),
Henry (b: 21 May 1835 in Cambria Co., PA),
Peter Paul (b: 10 January 1839 in Cambria Co., PA, d: 9 December 1898),
Joseph (b: September 1842, Cambria Co., PA, d: 1908) (my g-grandfather) and
William (b: 19 February 1847 in Cambria Co., PA).
Does anyone have any information on Sebastian or Agatha? Or their parents? Or what ship they came over on?
I have a fair amount of information on Peter and Joseph, but would also appreciate any information on Oliver, Henry and William. It appears that the three of them served in the Civil War (and that William was killed in it).I have requested copies of their Civil War pension files from NARA, but haven't heard back yet.
Thanks for any help you can give.
