In the 1860 census a man named Llewellyn Boley, age 28, which would be the correct age for him, was living in El Dorado County, California near Placerville with three other men, the head of household was a man whose last name was Scott. He was not listed of having a wife at that time. He had went to California with an Uncle by the name of Fielding William Boley in the 1850s for the California gold rush from Missouri. Fielding William Boley was a brother to James R. Boley, their parents were Vincent and Ann (Ball) and he died in El Dorado County onDec. 2, 1850. My husband's grandfather was born on 2-17-1868 in California and went by the name of Lewis or L.W. Boley. His Mother is listed as having come from Ireland on the censuses, but not her name, that I have seen so far. On one census it said the father of L.W. came from California and another one from Missouri which I belive to be correct.I have not be able to find any more information concerning Llewellyn on any censuses since 1860 so I haven't to see if he is the connection to our L.W. Boley so would appreciate hearing from anyone who might have some information.Mary Boley
