Re: Benjamin F. Boley b. @1840 Hampshire/Hardy Co Virginia

My records show Benjamin F. Boley serving in the 7th Regiment, Virginia Cavalry, "Ashby's" in the C. S. A. (not W. V. Cavalry). He also served in the 1st Regiment, Virginia Cavalry, C. S. A.The 1860 Census shows he was living in Martinsburg, Berkeley Co., Va., in the household of his father, Benjamin Boley (age 66).

I show he married Frances Helen Van Meter on June 1, 1865, Berkeley Co., West Va.The father of Frances was John T. Vanmeter, b. abt. 1810, who was living in the household of Benjamin Boley (age 56) in 1850.
