Paulette, in another posting you mentioned the Morenus website.I think it's excellent and maybe the best thing out there on the web.As you've no doubt discovered, the web is a mixed blessing when it comes to genealogy. There's no shortage - to say the least - of abysmally bad information that's not going away anytime soon, if ever.
Concerning books, bear in mind that Wyndham Robertson's POCAHONTAS AND HER DESCENDANTS was published in 1887 and is, by the author's admission, incomplete.A century later the Pocahontas Foundation began publishing book-length updates of the Robertson work under the title POCAHONTAS' DESCENDANTS.It was the Third Corrections to the latter I was referring to in my previous posting about the year of Mary Kennon Bolling's death. While not free of error, POCAHONTAS' DESCENDANTS is a very, very good compendium of names.
I've also referred in previous postings to the two volume set THE BOLLING, BOWLING, BOLEN FAMILY IN AMERICA BEFORE 1800 by Todd Bolen and Lois (Bolen) Stange. It's a collection of raw data submitted by researchers and an invaluable source of leads. If you Google it you'll probably find instructions for purchasing it.I've found the Bolen-Stange set to be an absolutely essential resource.Best, Fred
