Temple-Bonner marriage(s)

The logical conclusion of which being that the premise that there is only one known marriage of type is false, and that the diary entry gives the proof thereof. To conclude otherwise is the fall into the logical fallacy that lack of evidence is tantamount to evidence of lack.

Besides which, Bonner v. Burge (1837) speaks of Bonner and "his mother Nancy Temple" who died "Jany 1834". Since the one born 1758 died in 1823, we can therefore conclude that not only was there not just one marriage between a Bonner and a Temple, but furthermore that the marriage previously indicated isn't even the only marriage between a Bonner and a Temple where the woman's name was Nancy.

The total number of Bonner/Temple marriages is unknown, and to make conclusions of a familial nature that pretend the only ones are already known is fallacious.

Thus, there is plenty of room for the possibility of the marriage suggested by the diary, exactly as suggested by the diary.

Furthermore, it "rings true" to the fact that Hamilton is handed down forever in our Bonner family. Even my own great grandfather's brother was named Alfred Hamilton Bonner, and I wouldn't be surprised if that name survives even unto this day as a given name in my Bonner relatives.
