I am totally with you on this one - Boddie is a disaster. And particularly with respect to people using the abstracts when the original record is extant. Boddie did this very thing in VHG in my Colclough family, where an abstract says "daughter" but the original says "daughter of my daughter". As a practical outcome of this, certain Kidwell family will think in error that they descend from Colclough for probably the next 1,000 years, or at least until the DNA finally comes and crushes it completely. The maddening aspect of this is that when I show the original scan to the Kidwell descendants, they invariably begin their reply with "But Boddie...."

As regards to the Bible...that's why I asked you if you had scans of the Family Record. That's why I said it's a pity you can't get to yours (although you did say yours might be an abstract). And so I am...looking online for every instance of reference to this Bible, and asking them if they have scans of it they can share. I'd like to see the original, rather than any abstract or extraction. Surely someone has a copy and a scanner somewhere. But thus far, I haven't come across anyone who can even produce the abstract.
