Cindy, thank you for the dates and connection of Louis Bookout. I am so happy to hear that the obituaries from all the old Newspapers are at the local libraries, I did not know that. Been trying to find Joseph and Nancy obits hadn't had any luck, you informing me - gives me hope again.
I would like you to snail mail me Nancy's & Louis' probate as you mention. Email me at [email protected]
As far as J.E. Cherry, his initals, does the J = John ? and the E = Elijah ? My grandpa Orlia Smith lived with J.E. Cherry at least that is the family story. My mom told me my grandpa (Orlia Smith) said he lived with J.E. Cherry because his parents could not afford to keep all the kids in one house. For "Benton Co., Arkansas Cemetery Data" I only found one Elijah burried there 1852 - 1927 Bethel Cemetery, which I know was not our mention J.E. Cherry but possible younger relative. I have not focus too much on the Cherry line. But if I ever get more information on the Cherry's and others who connect to you, I will gladly pass it on.
I do have more information on John Smith (born 1870 died 1946). Did you ever get the obit's on John? I posted it in Smith forum sometime back? John would have been the son of Joseph N. Smith and Nancy E. Snodgrass - If I can prove his parents further than just family notes. John is the one who married Fay Carrie Bookout. Marilla the daughter of John Smith and Fay Carrie Bookout said her mother's middle name was Cassie, not Carrie. On this family of John and Fay, I have all dates on the children and many ssn's, if you would like my update sheet on this family, I will gladly email it to you.
Recently, I found the 1910 census report with Nancy E. Smith living in the home of her son John W. Smith born 1870, the only problem I have with it - is Nancy age on this census, it could not be correct expecially sinces her headstone shows her older. Anyway I am starting to ramble....
Let me know if there is anything I can help you with, and again Thank You!
