Georgia,
According to my research, no one in the Booth family ever belonged to the Masons. And yes, we are talking about the assassin of President Lincoln.Have you been able to find your family in the census records?I have an extensive Booth Genealogy on Ancestry.com and if you email me at [email protected] I can give you access to view this. The Booths were not very good reproducers and there are no direct male descendants living today (no men living with the Booth surname that can be directly traced to Junius Brutus Booth, Sr.) and I can only think of a possible descendant related through Edwin Booth's granddaughter Mildred Grossman Waterbury (Tilton). After 1858 JWB lived in Philadelphia, PA but was travelling a great deal with his career; Edwin, Junius, Jr., and Joe Booth were all based in NY, MA, and NY or NJ.
As I said, email me privately and we can continue.
Thank you for you reply.
