Re: England Bosleys

If anyone has any information about a Mary Ann Bosley who in 1884 would have been of child bearing age please contact me.

My children's great grandfather was born in Brighton in 1884 to a Mary Ann Bosley, with no father mentioned.She lived at the time at 16 Crown Gardens.I have been unable to find any record of any Mary Ann Bosley that would fit this discription.I wondered if she may have come from somewhere else to have the child and then return home.

Apparantly it was told that he grew up in an orphanage (his name was Harry William Lewis Bosley) but that can't be proven.

Does anyone know of any orphanages in Brighton?
