Hezekiah Bostick, Elizabeth Truitt (KY) parents of Amanda Ellen Bostick Gray, TX
I am no kin to this family but I photograph headstones and upload them to the cemetery on Findagrave.
I photographed the Gray Family plot in the Glenwood Cemetery, Houston, Harris County, TX
Headstones include:
Allan Charles Gray, Oct. 4, 1830 to Jun. 11, 1913 and his wife Amanda Ellen Bostick Gray, Jul. 25, 1827 to May 2, 1919, (details taken from her Death Certificate)whose father is listed as Hezekiah Bostick and mother Elizabeth Truitt of Baltimore, MD.
Their children include
John W. Gray, May 16, 1847 to March 10, 1906
Mary Jane Gray, Oct. 31, 1852 to Nov. 11, 1923
Fanny Gray Dumble, Dec. 19, 1855 to Dec. 16, 1935
Dr. E. Bostick Nichols Gray, 1861-? (a tree was planted in front of the headstone and is blocking it.) Dr. Nichols Gray has a marker showing he was the President General of the Sons of the Republic of Texas from 1930 to 1931. If he were in the SRT, then he had to have a male family member in Texas during the period of the Republic (1836-1845)
There is a photo from a distance showing the grouping of the family in the plot. Dr. Gray is on the other side of Fanny Gray Dumble.
This link is to Allan Charles Gray's memorial and from there you are linked to the children and his wife.
